Here it is February already. Our Dahlia Tubers are all tucked away and nice and cozy for the cold wet winter we have here in Oregon. They are ready to go to your garden and be beautiful this summer.
You don't want to plant Dahlias too early as they can rot in the cold wet soil of early spring. It is better to wait until weather and ground temperatures warm nicely, and the rains die down a bit. Check out our growing and care pages for more information.
We are taking orders at this time for shipment in April and May. We are also starting to go to Garden Shows in February.
Our Show list can be found as you look at our Calendar Pages. But I will highlight them here as well.
Feb. 18 - 22 - Portland Home and Garden Show at the Expo Center in North Portland
March 7th - Santiam Marketplace in Stayton, Oregon
March 12 - 15 - Lane Home and Garden Show at Lane County Fairgrounds in Eugene, Oregon
March 13- 15 - Yard Garden and Patio Show in Salem, Oregon at the Oregon State Fairgrounds
April 4th - Gardenpalooza in Aurora, Oregon at Fir Point Farms
Then Starting in May on Wednesday and Saturdays, we do the Salem Saturday Markets in downtown Salem, Oregon
So as you can see we will be busy this spring. The Tubers will also be ready at the farm beginning in April. If you come, please call first.
We hope to see you at one of our Spring Events!!
